If ya don't mind a little paint on yer dollar.....

I don't know what painting it does, but if this is really .999 silver, the high bid is low.

Of course the shipping looks outrageous!

my local dealer hates those painted coins. he'll always sell them for at least a buck under spot, if not two.

suits me!

After you add the paint, it's no longer .999! Why do they have to deface perfectly good coins?!?!?

The silver content is still .999, the paint is on top of the coin not mixed with the silver.

When my dealer gets the painted ones in, he just throws them in the box with the generic silver rounds. As a result I have picked up a number of these at near spot over the past year.

I have been thinking about trying to remove the paint. Has anyone tried it? Can it be done without hurting the coin?

Thanks

I hadn't really thought about that . . . . . I suppose that is an option.

But . . . I'd still be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried to remove the paint . . . and how they did it . . . and how well it worked.
