If ya don't mind a little paint on yer dollar.....
I don't know what painting it does, but if this is really .999 silver, the high bid is low.
http://cgi.ebay.com/1999-American-Ea...QQcmdZViewItem Of course the shipping looks outrageous! |

my local dealer hates those painted coins. he'll always sell them for at least a buck under spot, if not two.
suits me! |

After you add the paint, it's no longer .999! Why do they have to deface perfectly good coins?!?!?

Re: If ya don't mind a little paint on yer dollar.....
When my dealer gets the painted ones in, he just throws them in the box with the generic silver rounds. As a result I have picked up a number of these at near spot over the past year.
I have been thinking about trying to remove the paint. Has anyone tried it? Can it be done without hurting the coin? Thanks |

But . . . I'd still be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried to remove the paint . . . and how they did it . . . and how well it worked. |
